Enjoy your daily breakfast at leisure and follow it with an indulgent set menu lunch at Ocean Restaurant. You can also enjoy a la carte light meal selection at Compass Pool Bar. Then smoothly move on to a la carte dinner in either Ocean or The Shoreline Grill. You’ll also be invited to enjoy dinner at our signature restaurant, Ba’theli, once every five days. Welcome aboard the only floating restaurant in the Maldives, set on a traditional ba’theli boat in a serene lagoon – a truly one-of-a-kind experience among Maldives restaurants, where gourmet island cuisine meets history and soul. Our story begins over 5,000 years ago, when the Maldives became a vital stop along the ancient Spice Route. Traders from Indonesia, India and Arabia exchanged spices like turmeric, cardamom and cloves for coconuts, sun-dried fish and handwoven sails. These goods travelled between islands aboard ba’theli cargo boats, bringing with them the flavours, customs and culinary traditions of distant lands. At Ba’theli, this legacy is celebrated. The crown jewel of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Hanifaru Bay is one of the most awe-inspiring places on Earth and a must on any list of unforgettable things to do in the Maldives. During the season (May to November), this iconic site becomes a gathering ground for one of the world’s largest assemblies of manta rays. Here, you may also have the rare chance to snorkel alongside whale sharks, gentle giants of the deep, offering a Maldives Bucket List moment unlike any other. These magnificent Maldives marine life encounters are influenced by natural rhythms, tides, moon phases and currents, which our Ocean Stories team carefully monitors.
